For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
Men, as scripture teaches us, we must all have intimate time with God, where we listen to Him and talk to Him. For me, like many others, there is a caution that comes with that. As they say, be careful what you wish for.
Hebrews 12:4 emphasizes the powerful and penetrating nature of God’s word, highlighting its ability to discern even the most profound aspects of a person’s being.
The word of God is a judge, capable of revealing the true motives and desires of our hearts and minds. A 2×4 to the back of the head now and then is good for us all.
